remember?
i must have been 20 years old, so i guess 9 years ago on this date, i got my eyebrow pierced. 8 years ago on this date, i think i took the eyebrow ring out.

i remember walking downtown from campus with sean to eat at katz's. i had never walked that far to go out to eat in my life. i don't even know why we did it. when we got there, it was packed and there were special menus for the occasion with little romantic classy decorations on it. we were surrounded by dressed up couples and candlelight. we were in t-shirts and jeans and looked like straight college guys who didn't know it was valentine's day. it took us an embarrassingly long time for it to even dawn on us that's my only valentine's day memory.

Henry: I remember that Valentine's Day fondly. However, I am also happy to report that I haven't been back to the Katz's in Austin in many years. I did go to the Katz's in New York once, with my parents; it's actually nothing like the one in Austin. They loved my parents there. They affectionately referred to my dad as "Texas" in conversation and even gave him free beer.
