I never understood why being detail-oriented was supposed to be an all-around good thing, better than being able to big-picture stuff. There are situations where one is better than the other, but the nitpickers somehow carved out a rep for being smarter, better in some way. I don't buy it.
since god is supposedly in the details this is just another way for the religious right to impose their faith-based agendas. thanks to them now only godly detail-people are going to be hired into the workforce. convenient for them, no?
